My Experience With Hawaii

My Experience With Hawaii

Traveling. What a beautiful thing. There’s so much to see, so much to do, and an infinite horizon just waiting for you to chase. I LOVE traveling and all of the wonderful things that a person can get out of it: memories, life lessons, new experiences, and a mental cleanse. Yes, a mental cleanse. Let me explain myself!

Ever since my visit to Hawaii, my passion for traveling has skyrocketed. I learned something I had never known about myself: Traveling brings me genuine happiness

A Life Changer

Just for some backstory, I had a really tough period in my life a few years back that I am still recovering from to this day. Mentally, it has been so hard to find the person I used to be… and being a teenager DID NOT help at all. I felt hopeless as I began to question myself; is this how I’m going to live for the rest of my life? I was younger and less mature, so I didn’t know any better. My appreciation of life seemed so far away that it wasn’t even worth my time to better myself.

My trip to Hawaii COMPLETELY changed that. I know for a fact that exploring this new place brought me to where I am now. Just feeling that weight getting lifted off my chest was truly an indescribable feeling; a weight that I didn’t even know I had! Until I visited Hawaii, I had forgotten what it felt like to be genuinely happy

I Was Connected with the World

My happiness rooted from the fact that I was connected with the world. I forced myself to shut off my access to social media; only using it to post some pictures that I loved of the trip. It felt incredible because I didn’t have a care in the world of what anyone was doing, but myself. I was solely in the moment and stress free. My experiences in Hawaii have brought me to feel so much more positive towards life itself, and it still remains to this day!

A Huge Eye Opener

Not only did this trip bring me happiness and joy, but it was also a huge eye opener for me. A huge eye opener of the wonderful world that we live in, and an awareness of the many different ways that people make their everyday lives work. The whole rest of the world doesn’t work the same way as I do where I live. There’s so many different ways that people could go throughout their normal days; and it’s bizarre to think about, but this is reality. This whole trip has most certainly changed my life in an indescribable way. It’s changed my perspective about this world, ultimately changing who I am for the better.

Times like these are worth living for. Witnessing pure life, and being one on one with myself and Earth has been a life changer.

Try New Things

Here’s another quick reason why you should travel: to try new things. I almost didn’t go surfing, but I’m so unbelievably happy that I did. I imagined it to be a disaster, and that I would never be able to catch on. But mannnnn I was so wrong. Surfing was the most exhilarating day of my life; with going down the freeway in Los Angeles being a close second. And surfing right over a sea turtle at Waikiki beach? It doesn’t get any better than that. That whole coast was breathtaking to look at, making Honolulu my favorite city in the world (and LA of course!). I am forever grateful that I was able to experience that.

Now you may not feel the same way as I do when you travel, but the only way to find out is to TRY IT! Nonetheless, if you have an opportunity to go somewhere, just go. I 100% promise you that you’ll have no regrets. This amazing world was created for us. So why not take a look at all of the beautiful things that we don’t normally see in our everyday lives?

Go experience everything that has been set out for each and every one of us. Interact with new animals, meet new people, and open your eyes to all of the little characteristics of life. Exploring the way that this world works on the complete opposite side from where I live a remarkable feeling that all of you could experience as well!

I Dare You

I DARE YOU to take a trip you’ve always wanted to go on. Just do it. You have nothing to lose, and a whole wide world waiting for you to leave footprints on it. My job for you is to go leave as many footprints as possible, and come back with some crazy stories to tell. You only live once, so take the time that you have to go LIVE.

I hope you all find the beauties that I have found in traveling!

Safe and happy travels!
